Full-Time Comprehensive High School Counsellor

ISA is seeking an experienced High School Counsellor primarily dedicated to working with the diverse community of students in grades 9 and 10, with immediate effect. The successful candidate will be dynamic and adept at partnering with a team of 6 other US Counsellors to support students with their social and emotional needs, as well as providing high-quality academic counselling. The Counselling team partners with the Advisory program and follows the International School Counseling Association

Essential attributes of an ISA High School Counsellor include:

● Professional School Counseling Qualification

● Previous experience as a High School Counsellor

● Outstanding ability to work with students, parents, teachers, and colleagues

● Adept at problem solving

● Highly organised

● Positive & flexible mindset

● Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

● Proficiency with technology (Veracross, Toddle, CPOMS, Unifrog, and Google Suite are the current platforms used in the Counselling department)

● Working knowledge of the IB MYP and DP Programs

● Commitment to safeguarding the welfare of children and young people

● Commitment to inclusion, equity, and access for all students

Through coordination and consultation, High School Counsellors serve to support all members of the ISA High School community in order to fulfil the mission of ISA, To Educate for International Understanding.
