Essential attributes of an ISA High School Counsellor include: ● Professional School Counseling Qualification ● Previous experience as a High School Counsellor ● Outstanding ability to work with students, parents, teachers, and colleagues ● Adept at problem solving ● Highly organised ● Positive & flexible mindset ● Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills ● Proficiency with technology (Veracross, Toddle, CPOMS, Unifrog, and Google Suite are the current platforms used in the Counselling department) ● Working knowledge of the IB MYP and DP Programs ● Commitment to safeguarding the welfare of children and young people ● Commitment to inclusion, equity, and access for all students Through coordination and consultation, High School Counsellors serve to support all members of the ISA High School community in order to fulfil the mission of ISA, To Educate for International Understanding.
