The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, able to build trust with children and parents. The School Nurse strives to facilitate the educational process by protecting and improving the health, well-being, and safety of ISA students and staff. The services of the Nurse are aimed primarily at the prevention and care of illnesses to maintain the educational potential of the individual student. Prevention is effectuated by promoting healthy and safe lifestyles of the individual students and the extended ISA community. For this position we can only accept applications from local residents. .Qualifications and Skills Required: Fluency in English Registered pediatric nurse diploma A + - Preferably valid BIG registration
CPR / AED instructor Knowledge of the Dutch health system Several years of school nursing and/or children’s hospital nursing experience Knowledge of children’s diseases (chronic and acute, including communicable diseases and infections) and knowledge of child abuse Able to communicate well and with sensitivity to staff, children, and parents Approachable, trustworthy, confidential, stress-resistant IT skills and a willingness and aptitude to develop these further
